Stakeholders in the Ogun State transport sector have raised alarm over an impending crisis capable of leading to widespread destruction of lives and property if not urgently addressed.
The stakeholders, operating under the Ogun State Parks Management, PAM, issued a strong cry for help to the Ogun State Government and leadership of the All Progressives Congress, APC, warning that politically motivated moves to destabilize park management structures across senatorial districts could plunge the state into chaos.
In a petition signed by Concerned Central Leaders and made available in a statement, the group said tension has continued to mount in motor parks and transit hubs over alleged plans to alter administrative boundaries to favour one zone against another.
According to the leaders, Ogun East senatorial district currently controls five distinct transport unions, while Ogun Central has only one operational structure.
The stakeholders called on Governor Dapo Abiodun and top APC chieftains to urgently intervene, noting that the timing is delicate as the state approaches another election cycle.
