The Oyo state police command has made significant breakthrough in arresting additional kidnappers in the state.
The command, in a statement by its public relations officer, sp Ayanlade Olayinka said that the suspect, identified as Taye Adamu, was arrested at iluju village by operatives of the ikoyi ile Division at about 4pm.
The commissioner of police in the state, Abimbola Olugbenga has directed that the suspect be transferred to the state Anti kidnapping Squad for discreet and comprehensive investigation.
CP Abimbola added that the arrest is part of the command’s efforts to tackle violent crimes in the state.
Meanwhile, the suspects are currently in custody, facing charges related to kidnapping and other crimes.
